Did Al Capone really visit Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, a small quiet Canadian city in the heart of the prairie?

There are certainly stories that say he did.

A local barber claimed he cut Capone’s hair—twice.  A Moose Jaw dentist allegedly pulled out Capone’s wisdom teeth.

But when Capone was questioned about his affiliations with Canada, he gave one of his most famous quotes: “I don’t even know what street Canada is on.”

Are these story’s true?

Documentary filmmaker Kelly-Anne Riess travels with Leon Willey along what used to be the old Soo rail line from Moose Jaw to Chicago to see if there is any truth to the stories.

The information ultimately leads them back to Yorkton, Saskatchewan to where two brothers Sam and Harry Bronfman started Seagram’s, one of North America’s largest whiskey brands.

If Capone did travel to Saskatchewan was he doing business with the Bronfman’s. Capone’s grandniece says she remenbers meeting a Capone when she was a little girl.

But that doesn’t explain why Capone was in Moose Jaw. Or maybe it does…

You’ll have to watch the documentary to find out.
